False Friends Collection explores the strange beauty of language, misunderstanding, and meaning that slips just out of reach. Living in Belgium, where languages constantly mix and overlap, this theme feels especially close to home. Dutch-English false friends, everyday confusion, and crossed meanings are not just a subject here — they are part of my daily reality.

The collection turns linguistic tension into visual work that is playful, sharp, and slightly ironic. It reflects the space between words, where translation fails, humor appears, and meaning becomes something else entirely. Shaped by my life between languages, the series is both conceptual and personal.
